Photo Exhibit at the Boston Society of Architects

“Find something you’re passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.” ~Julia Child

Photography
One of my favorite hobbies is taking pictures of nature and food. I find it fun and it puts me in a state of flow. It also helps me to be fully present, which makes me notice details of everyday things I would otherwise not see. My only goal when I’m with my camera is to observe. If I see something interesting, I try to capture it and convey a feeling or mood. In positive psychology, “flow is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity”.

I’m part of an Instagram photography group called @igboston. At the end of July there will be a photo gallery exhibit of member images from around the world selected by moderators. One of my photos will be on display and there will be a special announcement at the event. I can’t wait to share more soon!
